We didn’t add a privacy setting.
We removed the thing it would protect you from. Nothing sent, nothing leaked. Nothing to configure, nothing to misconfigure.
No cloud fallback
The model runs on your hardware. Hard task? It still runs on your hardware. There is no “then it uploads your file” step.
No runtime configuration
No providers, endpoints, model files, or sliders. It reads your hardware and decides. You point at a folder and ask.

V1 ships Gemma 4 12B QAT — an Apache-2.0 open model from Google — with a pinned local runtime. No wizard, no endpoint, no second server.
It’s the default, not a lock-in. We’ll keep shipping the best open model that passes the same privacy, quality, and hardware gates.

Privacy without an opt-out
We cannot track what we never collect.
Garden Desk tracks absolutely nothing. No pipeline to disable — none exists. The desktop works offline, and generated tools run in a sealed environment with no network interface.
No feature tracking
We do not count which buttons, workflows, file types, or features you use.
No crash or background reporting
The application sends no automatic crash reports, diagnostics, or usage metrics.
Local audit records stay local
Records are not transmitted unless the owner explicitly exports them.
